Travels with team to Cincy
Edelman (knee/shoulder) traveled with the team to Cincinnati on Saturday, Zack Cox of NESN.com reports.
Analysis: This was expected, as the Patriots have merely been managing the veteran receiver's workload during practice. All reports seem to indicate Edelman will be ready to go for Sunday's contest against the Bengals, although fantasy owners should still check his status prior to the team's 1 p.m. ET kickoff.

Listed as questionable
Edelman (knee/shoulder) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Bengals after logging limited practices both Thursday and Friday.
Analysis: Edelman sat out practice Wednesday, but his absence was deemed a load management issue. At this stage, there's nothing to suggest that the Patriots' top pass catcher is in danger of missing this weekend's contest. Confirmation of his Week 15 availability is slated to arrive before the first wave of games Sunday, with the Patriots kicking off at 1 p.m. ET.

Logs limited practice Thursday
Edelman (knee/shoulder) returned to a limited practice Thursday.
Analysis: Edelman's absence from practice Wednesday can be filed under rep management and his return to a limited session Thursday puts the receiver on track to play Sunday against the Bengals. There's a good chance, however, that the Patriots will still list Edelman as questionable for the team's Week 15 contest come Friday.

Back at practice
Edelman (knee/shoulder) was present for the media-access portion of Thursday's practice, Mike Reiss of ESPN.com reports.
Analysis: Edelman's absence from practice Wednesday was deemed a load management issue, and his return to the field Thursday supports that notion. We'd expect the Patriots to officially list him as limited on the second edition of their Week 15 injury report.

Managing knee, shoulder issues
Edelman (shoulder/knee) didn't participate in Wednesday's practice.
Analysis: Jeff Howe of The Athletic previously noted that Edelman's Wednesday absence was for "load management purposes," but the Patriots' practice report revealed an added layer to the equation. The receiver had appeared on the report with the shoulder injury in recent weeks, but the knee issue is a new concern that he'll have to overcome in advance of Sunday's game against the Bengals.

Sits out practice Wednesday
Edelman (shoulder) isn't taking part in practice Wednesday in what amounts to a case of "load management" Jeff Howe of The Athletic reports.
Analysis: Per Michael Giardi of NFL Network, Edelman has dealt with chest and shoulder injuries this season and came up limping during the final quarter of Sunday's loss to the Chiefs. It's therefore unsurprising that the Patriots are inclined to manage his practice reps down the stretch, but at this stage, there's nothing to suggest that the team's top pass-catcher is in danger of sitting out in Cincinnati this weekend.

Tops 100 scrimmage yards in loss
Edelman caught eight of 12 targets for 95 yards and a touchdown and added eight yards on one carry in Sunday's 23-16 loss to the Chiefs.
Analysis: He was the Patriots' top offensive weapon in the game by far, and James White was the only other player to reach 60 scrimmage yards or see more than four targets on the afternoon. Edelman reached 1,000 receiving yards for the third time in his career with this performance, and he's now 97 yards shy of eclipsing the career-high 1,106 yards he recorded in 2016 -- a mark he could reach in Week 15 on the road against the hapless Bengals.

Edelman (shoulder) is listed as active for Sunday's game against the Chiefs.

On track to play
Edelman (shoulder), who is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Chiefs, is expected to play, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
Analysis: Edelman has been a mainstay on the Patriots' injury reports throughout 2019 and is being listed as questionable for the ninth time this season, but like the previous eight occasions, there's no real concern about his availability for gameday. The standout slot man has played no fewer than 89 percent of the offensive snaps and has drawn no fewer than 10 targets in any game since Week 5, so that's a reasonable baseline for what to expect from him in terms of both workload and usage Sunday.

Edelman (shoulder) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Chiefs.
Analysis: Though Edelman was limited in practices Wednesday through Friday, there haven't been any reports from the Boston media indicating that Tom Brady's go-to option is truly in any danger of missing the Week 14 contest. Expect Edelman to avoid the inactive list Sunday and garner double-digit targets, just like he has in each of the previous seven games.

Breaks century mark in loss
Edelman (shoulder) caught six passes (12 targets) for 106 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 28-22 loss to Houston.
Analysis: Edelman toughed out a shoulder injury and suited up for a primetime matchup against another AFC contender. The slot specialist brought his A-game, pacing all receivers from both sides in receptions and yardage. The Patriots' late comeback effort proved futile, but Edelman likely provided enough on the stat sheet to satisfy those with shares in the receiver. Edelman (shoulder) is one of 17 players the Patriots list as questionable for Sunday's game against the Texans.
Analysis: Edelman logged limited practice sessions all week, so it would be a major surprise if he wasn't available to serve as one of quarterback Tom Brady's key targets come Sunday. Meanwhile, Phillip Dorsett (concussion) and Mohamed Sanu (ankle) -- who were both inactive in Week 12 -- are also listed as questionable, but the duo appears to be trending in the right direction heading into the weekend.

Limited in practice
Edelman (shoulder) was limited at practice Wednesday, Zack Cox of NESN.com reports.
Analysis: Edelman carried the same injury into the Week 12 win over the Cowboys, but ultimately suited up and recorded eight catches for 93 yards on 12 targets. Big game against Dallas
Edelman caught eight of 12 targets for 93 yards in Sunday's 13-9 win over the Cowboys.
Analysis: With rain limiting Tom Brady's ability to stretch the field, Edelman saw plenty of action on shorter routes and ended up leading all receivers in catches, targets and yards on the afternoon. The 33-year-old has gotten double-digit targets in six straight games and eight of 11 on the year, giving him a high fantasy floor heading into Week 13's road clash with the Texans.

Edelman (shoulder) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Cowboys after logging limited practices all week.
Analysis: Of the dozen players listed as questionable on the Patriots' Week 12 injury report, we'd guess that Edelman is among those least likely to miss this weekend's contest. Meanwhile, the statuses of fellow wide receivers Mohamed Sanu (ankle) and Phillip Dorsett (concussion) seem less certain, and there's a chance that clarity on their availability won't arrive until the team's inactives are released in advance of Sunday's 4:25 p.m. ET kickoff.

Tosses TD pass in win
Edelman caught five of 10 targets for 53 yards and completed his only pass for a 15-yard touchdown to Phillip Dorsett in Sunday's 17-10 win over the Eagles.
Analysis: The third-quarter toss was Edelman's first ever regular-season passing TD and accounted for the Pats' only touchdown of the day, although the receiver is 5-for-6 as a passer in his career when Bill Belichick decides to dial up a trick play -- including a 51-yard score to Danny Amendola in the 2014 playoffs. Edelman's catches, targets and yards also led the team Sunday, and he remains on pace for his first 100-reception season since 2013.

Monster PPR effort
Edelman (chest/shoulder) caught 10 passes (11 targets) for 89 yards in Sunday's 37-20 loss to the Ravens.
Analysis: Edelman did cough up a costly fumble, but it was a small price to pay for those in PPR formats who benefited from a season-high 10 receptions. The 33-year-old was dealing with a couple of minor injuries, but he didn't seem to be hampered by either issue and was on the field for his usual share of snaps. The Patriots' upcoming bye week will help Edelman get closer to full strength before a Week 11 matchup against a soft Philadelphia pass defense (256.1 passing yards allowed per game).

Halfway through his team's 2019 slate, Edelman has been targeted 79 times (sixth in the NFL heading into Week 9 action) and has racked up 53 catches for 574 yards and four TDs, while helping his team carve out an 8-0 record.

Edelman (chest/shoulder) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Ravens after practicing in a limited fashion all week.
Analysis: Normally, an 8:20 p.m. ET kickoff Sunday would be dicey with a player listed as questionable, but Edelman is expected to suit up this weekend. Assuming that's the case, he'll continue to serve as a high-volume target for quarterback Tom Brady. Edelman caught eight of 11 targets for a team-high 78 yards and two touchdowns in Sunday's 27-13 win over the Browns.
Analysis: Despite the addition of Mohamed Sanu this week, Edelman remained Tom Brady's primary target, as he led the Pats in catches, yards and targets while being the only New England offensive player to reach the end zone. The veteran slot receiver now has four TDs on the year -- three shy of his career high -- and through eight games, he's on pace for his first 1,000-yard campaign since 2016, and his first 100-catch season since 2013.

Though Edelman (chest) is expected to play Sunday against the Bills despite being listed as questionable, his snap count will hinge on how he feels physically as the contest progresses, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
Analysis: After picking up the chest injury in the Week 3 win over the Jets, Edelman was a limited participant in the Patriots' practices Wednesday through Friday. The Patriots were apparently encouraged by how the wideout looked following the final session of the week, but Rapoport notes there's a chance Edelman's reps could be more limited than usual while he plays at less than 100 percent health. The potential of a reduced snap share and target count renders Edelman a more risky selection in DFS…read more

Expects to play
Edelman (chest) is making the trip to Buffalo and expects to play in Sunday's game, Michael Giardi of NFL Network reports.
Analysis: Edelman left last weekend's victory over the Jets early after suffering a chest/rib injury. He was a limited participant at practice throughout the week before landing with a questionable designation. The veteran has been going through extensive post-practice treatment in order to prepare himself to play. Final confirmation on his status will come prior to the early slate of games Sunday morning.

Listed as questionable
Edelman (chest/ribs) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Bills, Mike Reiss of ESPN.com reports.
Analysis: Edelman was forced out of last weekend's win over the Jets with what is officially listed as a chest injury, but some have reported as a rib issue. He encouragingly participated in all three of the Patriots' practices this week, albeit on a limited basis, with Phil Perry of NBC Sports Boston noting that the slot ace is "doing all he can to get on the field Sunday," which included an "extensive post-practice treatment regimen" Friday. Remains limited at practice
Edelman (chest/ribs) remained limited at practice Thursday.
Analysis: There's still a chance that the Patriots end up listing Edelman as questionable for Sunday's game against the Bills, but Phil Perry of NBC Sports Boston noted encouragingly that the Patriots' slot ace "looked like himself" and was "moving okay" during the media-access portion of Thursday's practice.

Listed as limited Wednesday
Edelman (chest/ribs) was listed as a limited practice participant Wednesday.
Analysis: Jeff Howe of The Athletic previously suggested that "there's been some early-week skepticism" about Edelman's availability for Sunday's game against the Bills. That said, Edelman is known for playing through injury, so it would be somewhat surprising if he ended up sitting out this weekend. It's at least a positive sign that he practiced Wednesday in some fashion rather than sitting out the session.

Could play Week 4
Edelman (ribs) does not appear to be nursing a serious injury and isn't ruled out for Sunday's game against the Bills, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
Analysis: Edelman's X-rays came back negative after he exited Week 3's win over the Jets, but he could receive an MRI on Monday to discern whether he sustained damage to his rib cartilage. While it remains to be seen whether Edelman will return to full health in time to suit up in Buffalo, it appears as though he isn't at risk of a long-term absence.

Injury not too serious
Edelman's ribs injury is not believed to be serious, ESPN's Mike Reiss reports.
Analysis: Edelman "should be OK", a source told ESPN's Adam Schefter, according to Reiss. With the Patriots releasing Antonio Brown earlier in the week, losing Edelman as well would have been a major blow to the offense ahead of a Week 4 matchup with a Bills team that's tied for the AFC East lead with a 3-0 record. While we're still awaiting official word on his status, it's safe to say that Edelman has at least avoided a major injury.

Edelman suffered a rib injury Sunday against the Jets, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.

Edelman (chest) won't return to Sunday's game against the Jets.

Four catches in Brown's debut
Edelman caught all four of his targets for 51 yards and added a one-yard rush in Sunday's 43-0 win over Miami.
Analysis: Edelman tied with new top wideout Antonio Brown for the team lead in catches while coming up five yards short of Brown's team-high receiving total, though the slot receiver was kept out of the end zone while Brown hauled in a touchdown in his Patriots debut. The passing game as a whole didn't need to kick it into high gear in this blowout, but there should be enough volume to go around for Edelman even with Brown on board, and Edelman should benefit from decreased defensive attention moving…read more

Leads team in targets
Edelman caught six of 11 targets for 83 yards in Sunday's 33-3 rout of Pittsburgh. He also rushed once for eight yards and completed a pass on a trick play for 32 yards.
Analysis: Edelman and Brady put on a clinic against the Steelers' man coverage, running drags and slants to convert crucial drive-extending plays. The Patriots' recent acquisition of Antonio Brown will add another mouth to feed to this receiving corps, but Edelman's job as the team's slot man should go unchallenged. The 2018 Super Bowl MVP should remain a solid PPR option against the Dolphins in Week 2.

Possible role reduction
Edelman could face significant competition for receptions in the form of Antonio Brown, who signed with the Patriots on Saturday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
Analysis: Despite Brown's size (5-foot-10, 181 pounds), the star wide receiver ran nearly 75.8 percent of his snaps from the outside with the Steelers in 2018. As a result, he shouldn't threaten either Edelman or Josh Gordon's playing time much, as all three could share the field without much interference. Analysis: Though Edelman didn't see any snaps after he took a hard fall on his left hand during the Patriots' preseason finale, the team downplayed his early departure afterward. His absence from Wednesday's injury report confirms that slot ace will be ready to play Sunday against the Steelers. Analysis: Edelman didn't play any more snaps after he took a hard fall on his left hand at the end of a 20-yard reception on the game's opening drive. He may have slightly jammed his wrist, but he didn't seek medical attention and appears to have avoided any issues with his previously fractured left thumb. Edelman was in uniform prior to Thursday's preseason game against the Panthers, Jim McBride of The Boston Globe reports.
Analysis: Edelman did some work on the practice fields behind Gillette Stadium prior to the contest, so there's no guarantee that he'll see much, if any, action Thursday night, but it's nonetheless a good sign that he's in uniform after having just recently been removed from the Patriots' non-football injury list due to a thumb injury.

Analysis: The transaction presumably will be announced later in the day, as players on the NFI list aren't allowed to practice with teammates. Edelman has been out all summer with a broken left thumb, but there's never been much concern about his status for Week 1 against Pittsburgh. Officially on NFI list
The Patriots placed Edelman (thumb) on the non-football injury list Wednesday, Field Yates of ESPN reports.
Analysis: Edelman is facing three more weeks of recovery from a left thumb injury, so this move was more or less expected. It's unclear if the Patriots will risk a potential aggravation by having Edelman play during the preseason, but at this point in his career, he can get by with little-to-no in-game reps before Week 1. Edelman has managed 103 catches (on 153 targets) for 1,117 yards and six touchdowns per 16 games played since becoming a regular part of the New England offense in 2013.

Due to an ACL tear in 2017 and a four-game suspension to kick off his 2018 campaign, Edelman has not played a full season of football since 2016, but Tom Brady's most reliable wideout will remain alongside him for a 10th season and more with this extension.

After leading the team in targets, catches and receiving yardage, the veteran now has 16 receptions (on 23 targets) for 247 yards through a pair of postseason games.
