Season-high receiving total
Juszczyk had seven catches for 63 yards in Sunday's 36-26 win over Arizona.
Analysis: Juszczyk set new season highs in receptions, yards and targets in one fell swoop. The versatile fullback was targeted just nine times over his previous five healthy contests, which was a bit surprising given the lack of receiving talent that San Francisco brings to the table. Juice had stretches of flirting with deep-league value (even as a fullback) over his first two seasons in San Francisco, so maybe this strong outing will earn the 28-year-old more looks down the stretch.

Targeted in loss
Juszczyk was unable to haul in his lone target of Monday's 27-24 loss to Seattle.
Analysis: Juszczyk didn't earn a touch in his Monday return from a knee injury, but he did make a difference early, sealing off a block to help spring Tevin Coleman for a 22-yard gain midway through the first quarter. Juszczyk has been a solid enough receiver out of the backfield in recent seasons to warrant potential consideration on bye-heavy weeks, but an injury-plagued 2019 has held him to just seven total touches for 82 yards this season. Next up is an Arizona team that ranks 31st in total defense.

Sheds knee injury
Juszczyk (knee) does not carry an injury designation into Monday's prime-time contest against the Seahawks, Nick Wagoner of ESPN.com reports.
Analysis: Juszczyk's status is surprisingly critical, as the 49ers are expected to be without their star tight end, George Kittle (knee/ankle), heading into the pivotal contest. The All-Pro fullback was mentioned by head coach Kyle Shanahan as a potential fill-in for Kittle, suggesting the respective players' roles aren't much different than the other, although Juszczyk's running back designation won't necessarily help fantasy owners hoping to replace the productive tight end.

Returns to practice
Juszczyk (knee) was participating in Tuesday's practice, Matt Barrows of The Athletic reports.
Analysis: Juszczyk's level of participation remains unclear since the 49ers won't have an official injury report until Thursday, but it's nonetheless a good sign about his potential return. The 28-year-old was given a four- to six-week recovery timeline after suffering an MCL sprain Oct. 7, and Monday's game against the Seahawks would be the five-week mark. In fact, Jusczyk told David Lombardi of The Athletic he feels "100 percent" and is on track to play Monday.

Still a week or two away
Juszczyk (knee) began running again Wednesday and said he may be able to return in "another week or two," Nick Wagoner of ESPN.com reports.
Analysis: Juszczyk was given a four-to six-week timeline after suffering the MCL sprain Oct. 7, so a return in two weeks would put him directly on track with that timeline. The 28-year-old has yet to resume practicing and is unlikely to return prior to the Nov. 11 game against the Seahawks, since the 49ers play on Thursday next week.

Facing 4-to-6-week absence
The 49ers announced Tuesday that Juszczyk (knee) will likely be sidelined for 4-to-6 weeks, Jennifer Lee Chan of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.
Analysis: After exiting Monday's 31-3 win over the Browns, Juszczyk was sent in for an MRI on Tuesday that confirmed the versatile fullback had sprained the MCL in his left knee. The loss of the 28-year-old for at least the next four games will deprive Jimmy Garoppolo of one of his favorite dump-off targets, while also leaving a potent San Francisco ground attack without a lead blocker. The 49ers could sign another fullback to compensate for Juszczyk's absence or have backup tight end Levine Toilolo -- a…read more

Dealing with MCL sprain
Juszczyk (knee) is believed to have suffered a sprained left MCL in Monday's 31-3 win over the Browns, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.
Analysis: The 49ers will send Juszczyk in for an MRI later Tuesday before offering further clarity on his injury, but if the initial diagnosis proves accurate, he'll have a tough time making it back for the team's Week 6 matchup with the Rams. Juszczyk has only tallied 82 total yards on seven touches through four games, but his skills as a lead blocker have helped spark the 49ers' productive ground game this season.

Appears to have left knee sprain
Juszczyk appears to have suffered a left knee sprain, but the severity is still unknown, according to coach Kyle Shanahan, Nick Wagoner of ESPN reports.
Analysis: Juszczyk will undergo an MRI on Tuesday, which will bring more clarity to the situation, but there's a good chance the Pro Bowl fullback could be sidelined for at least one contest. Look for more details to emerge when the team releases their practice report later this week.

Carted to locker room
Juszczyk has been carted to the locker room and is questionable to return, Matt Barrows of The Athletic reports.
Analysis: Juszczyk was able to walk off the field with some assistance from the training staff but then was spotted on a cart heading to the locker room shortly after. A fundamental piece to the 49ers' run game, the Pro Bowler is the only fullback on the roster. Should he miss an extended period of time, there's a good chance the 49ers hit the free agent market in search of a replacement.

Rips off big plays
Juszczyk caught all three of his targets for 51 yards in Sunday's 24-20 win over the Steelers.
Analysis: Juszczyk received his first notable offensive action of the season, making a game-high 27-yard reception on a wheel route out of the backfield. The versatile fullback has reached the 30-catch and 300-yard receiving plateau for each of his last two seasons with San Francisco, so the occasional big showing in a box score should be expected. Juice is rarely used as a runner, and he simply doesn't get enough consistent looks to be relied upon as a fullback in the fantasy world.

Tallies 11 yards
Juszczyk caught one of two targets for five yards and added a six-yard run during Sunday's 41-17 win over the Bengals.
Analysis: The plays were Juszczyk's first touches of the season. Head coach Kyle Shanahan likes to use his fullback more than most coaches, and despite playing a low-priority position, Juszczyk has still managed to top 300 total yards three out of the past four seasons to go along with six total touchdowns. That's probably not enough to depend on on any given week, but don't be surprised if Juszczyk has some decent fantasy outings this season. Next up Sunday is a struggling Pittsburgh team looking to…read more

Escapes serious injury
Juszczyk's X-ray on his injured hand came back negative Sunday, Matt Maiocco of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.
Analysis: Juszczyk suffered the hand injury during Saturday's win against the Chiefs but appears to be fine. Heading into the final preseason game, it's likely that the team won't risk further injury and hold the veteran out. Considering all tests checked out on his hand, Juszczyk shouldn't have a problem taking on his typical hefty role in the 49ers offense come Week 1.

Remains in San Fran
The 49ers exercised Juszczyk's contract option for 2019, Adam Caplan of SiriusXM Radio reports.
Analysis: Juszczyk will receive $4.2 million for the 2019 season after catching 30 passes for 324 yards and one touchdown last season. The 27-year-old also rushed eight times for 30 yards, with most of his involvement in the run game coming as a blocker.

Receives three touches in finale
Juszczyk ran the ball twice for nine yards and caught one of two targets for 15 yards in Sunday's 48-32 loss to the Rams.
Analysis: Juszczyk did lose a fumble trying to extend the ball for a first down, but that blemish probably didn't affect anyone in fantasy unless they play in fullback leagues. All joking aside, the 27-year-old was actually pushing very deep-league value early in the year for his receiving contributions (17 receptions, 227 yards and a touchdown through first five games). That came to a screeching halt when the 49ers' opted to use Juice's blocking skills to help protect their young, inexperienced backups,…read more

Seldom used Sunday
Juszczyk brought in his lone target for three yards in Sunday's 26-23 win over Seattle.
Analysis: Juszczyk returned to a season-low one target after seeing six over his previous two contests. It has become apparent that head coach Kyle Shanahan doesn't view his fullback as an offensive option with Nick Mullens under center, preferring to use his blocking skills as opposed to deploying him as a weapon out of the backfield. Juszczyk would need a heavy target share to generate value at an unfavorable fantasy position, and that simply isn't the case in the team's current scheme.

Re-enters offensive gameplan
Juszczyk caught all three of his targets for 20 yards in Sunday's 43-16 loss to the Seahawks.
Analysis: Juszczyk did not record a touch in last week's loss to Tampa Bay, so Sunday's showing was a step in the right direction. Still, the 27-year-old hasn't posted a noteworthy performance since accruing 87 yards back in Week 5, and his status as a fullback sours any potential as a PPR option for Sunday's matchup with the Broncos.

Limited to blocking duties
Juszczyk did not receive a touch in Sunday's 27-9 loss to Tampa Bay.
Analysis: Juszczyk was a regular part of the passing game earlier this season (23 catches for 265 yards and a touchdown), but he has seen his role diminish in the three games Nick Mullens has started at quarterback (just six touches over that span). With his new quarterback favoring other passing options, Juice's fantasy value has been drained completely.

Tallies 13 yards
Juszczyk had a 3-yard carry and added 10 yards on two catches during Monday's 27-23 loss to the Giants.
Analysis: This marks four straight weeks without at least 15 total yards for Juszczyk, who was performing beyond that of the average fullback to start the season with a few long receptions and even a touchdown in Week 3. Those times appear to be over for a banged-up 49ers offense. Following their Week 11 bye, the 49ers get a bottom-five pass defense in Tampa Bay, but Juszczyk hasn't been targeted enough lately for him to be counted on to exploit the favorable matchup.

Nabs two catches
Juszczyk gained a yard on one carry and caught both of his targets for 10 yards in Thursday's 34-3 win over Oakland.
Analysis: Juszczyk failed to haul in a pass for the first time all season last week against the Cardinals, but he got back in the receiving column Thursday. Despite his regular involvement in the passing game, the fullback's production has tailed off after he flashed some big-play ability earlier in the campaign. That leaves him off the radar in all but the deepest of fantasy leagues heading into the Week 10 matchup with the Giants.
