Misses three long kicks
McManus converted field goals of of 22, 26, and 37 yards during Sunday's loss to Las Vegas while also making both of his point-after attempts. He missed a field-goal attempt of 56 yards and had attempts of 63 and 70 yards blocked.
Analysis: The Broncos really tested McManus' leg Sunday, with his attempts from 70 and 63 yards coming at the end of both halves, respectively. Though he ended the season on a bit of a cold streak, going 7-for-12 on field-goal attempts during the final quarter of the year, he still managed to finish ninth in the league with 28 total field goals and first in the league with 10 field goals of 50 or more yards.

Has costly miss
McManus converted an extra point and field goals of 30, 50 and 52 yards during Sunday's 19-16 loss at the Chargers.
Analysis: McManus' leg from 50-plus yards kept the Broncos in the game Sunday, but it was his uncharacteristic miss earlier that contributed to the Broncos' loss. McManus shanked a 42-yard attempt early in the second quarter, and, after the play was called back for a defensive offsides, McManus hit the upright on the 37-yard retry. It was McManus' first miss from inside 40 yards since Week 5 of the 2017 season. He'll look to start a new streak Sunday against Las Vegas, against which McManus converted…read more

Back with team
McManus will be activated from the reserve/COVID-19 list Wednesday and rejoin the Broncos for practice, Mike Klis of 9News Denver reports.
Analysis: McManus was placed on the list Dec. 14 after being deemed a close contact of an individual infected by COVID-19. Though he continued to test negative for the virus in the days that followed, the timing of McManus' placement on the list left him unavailable for Saturday's 48-19 loss to the Bills. Now that he's been reinstated to the roster, McManus will settle back in as the Broncos' kicker in place of Taylor Russolino, who moved back to the practice squad following the Week 15 loss.

Won't play Saturday
McManus, who remains on the reserve/COVID-19 list, won't be available for Saturday's game against the Bills, Ryan O'Halloran of The Denver Post reports.
Analysis: Though McManus continues to test negative for the virus after landing on the list Monday due to being a close contact of an infected individual, he won't be eligible to return to the 53-man roster until Sunday. As a result, McManus will have to sit out for the first time this season, forcing the team to summon Taylor Russolino from the practice squad to handle Week 15 kicking duties.

Not expected to kick Saturday
The Broncos are expected to be without McManus (undisclosed) Saturday against the Bills, James Palmer of NFL Network reports.
Analysis: McManus landed on the reserve/COVID-19 list as a close contact, with Palmer noting that if Denver's game was Sunday he'd be able to play. Instead, the Broncos are hosting the Bills on Saturday, with Taylor Russolino expected to handle the team's Week 15 kicking duties.

Continues to test negative
McManus remains in self-isolation Wednesday after recently coming into close contact with an individual infected with COVID-19, but the kicker continues to test negative for the virus, Mike Klis of 9News Denver reports.
Analysis: McManus previously stated that he intends to suit up Saturday against the Bills, and his string negative tests may give him a chance to do so. Still, the kicker will need to be officially removed from the reserve/COVID-19 list before his availability can be guaranteed. Taylor Russolino remains on Denver's practice squad and would likely be promoted to handle Week 15 kicking duties should McManus fails to get clearance before Saturday.

Heading to reserve list
McManus will be heading to the reserve/COVID-19 list, per his personal Twitter account.
Analysis: McManus adds that his close contact with a COVID-infected individual took place outside of Broncos headquarters and that it is his intention to still suit up against the Bills on Saturday. McManus's confidence aside, the news does place his availability in jeopardy given the short week. If he's able to play, he'll be coming off one of the roughest outings of his career in which he missed two of four point-after attempts.

Converts two of three kicks
McManus made one of two field-goal attempts and his lone PAT during Sunday's 22-16 loss to Kansas City.
Analysis: The 29-year-old converted from 53 yards during the first quarter, but he missed wide left on a 57-yard field goal shortly before halftime. It's his first missed field goal since Week 2, which was also a 50-plus yard attempt. McManus is 22-for-24 on field-goal attempts and 19-for-20 on PATs through 12 games this season.

Back at practice Friday
McManus (personal) returned to practice as expected Friday, Troy Renck of ABC Denver7 reports.
Analysis: McManus missed Thursday's practice with an excused personal absence but was back in the fold Friday. He should be all systems go for Sunday's game against the Chiefs.

Away from team
McManus was away from the team Thursday with an excused absence for personal reasons, Mike Klis of 9News Denver reports.
Analysis: As Kils points out, McManus is expected to rejoin the team Friday ahead of its game Sunday against the Chiefs, so the kicker isn't in jeopardy of missing action. McManus connected on a career-long 58-yard field goal in last Sunday's loss to New Orleans, and with Drew Lock officially activated off the reserve/COVID-19 list, he could have more opportunities to score points in Week 13.

Sets career long
McManus converted his lone field-goal attempt, a 58-yarder, during Sunday's 31-3 loss to New Orleans.
Analysis: The Broncos took a five-yard loss on third down midway through the third quarter on Sunday, pushing a tough field-goal try back even farther. McManus nailed it with room to spare, breaking his previous career long of 57 yards set back in 2015 and keeping alive Denver's streak of never being shut out at home. Sunday was obviously a unique situation with an undrafted rookie wide receiver forced to play quarterback. Expect a few more opportunities for McManus Sunday night with Drew Lock back in…read more

Makes all four kicks
McManus made both of his field-goal attempts and both of his extra-point tries in Sunday's 20-13 win over the Dolphins.
Analysis: McManus' pair of field goals both came in the second quarter, from 29 and 47 yards. The veteran has been tremendously consistent this season, and now sports 78 points through 10 games.

Makes both kicks
McManus made both of his field-goal tries but did not attempt an extra point in Sunday's 37-12 loss to the Raiders.
Analysis: McManus converted from 50 and 33 yards on his respective kicks, improving his already-awesome record so far this season. Through nine games, the veteran has missed merely two of 36 total attempts, netting 70 points in the process.

Notches nine points
McManus made both of his field-goal attempts as well as all three of his extra-point tries in Sunday's 34-27 loss to the Falcons.
Analysis: McManus converted from 43 and 41 yards on his two field goals, which helped bring his season tally to 64 points through eight games. At the moment, McManus has made 16 of 17 attempts on both field goals and extra points, bringing great consistency to Denver's kicking game.

Puts up seven points
McManus made his lone field-goal attempt and all four extra-point tries during Sunday's 31-30 win over the Chargers.
Analysis: The 29-year-old converted a 35-yard field goal during the first quarter and was successful on all the extra-point tries for Denver's four second-half touchdowns, including the game-winning PAT as time expired. McManus made six field goals Week 6, but he has only two attempts over the past two games. However, he draws an appealing fantasy matchup against the Falcons in Week 9.

Misses in snow
McManus made his only field-goal attempt but missed one of his two extra-point tries in Sunday's 43-16 loss to the Chiefs.

Nails six field goals
McManus converted field goals of 45, 44, 27, 52, 20, and 54 yards during Sunday's 18-12 win over the Patriots.
Analysis: Kudos to you if you started McManus on Sunday, as the Temple product set a franchise record with six field goals while serving as the entirety of the Broncos' scoring offense. He's converted 11 consecutive field-goal attempts, including five from 50 yards or further. McManus is tied for the league lead with nine conversions from 40 yards out out.

Accounts for 13 points
McManus converted field goals of 40, 54 and 53 yards during Thursday's 37-28 win over the Jets. He added four point-after conversions.
Analysis: First-time starter Brett Rypien didn't do McManus many favors in the closing minutes of the fourth quarter. With the Broncos down by one, Rypien took a 10-yard grounding penalty on third down, forcing McManus to try from 53 yards out. He nailed it for his second field goal of 50 or more yards of the quarter. The Temple product is on pace to tie his career-best field-goal percentage for a season (85.7% in 2015) and shatter his career mark for conversions of 40 yards or more (14 in 2018).

Nails 56-yarder
McManus converted an extra-point and a 56-yard field goal during Sunday's 28-10 loss to Tampa Bay.
Analysis: McManus' 56-yarder was his longest field goal since Week 1 of the 2015 season. McManus has held value in recent seasons, as he's on a team that has had enough offense to get into field-goal range, but not enough to get into the end zone. History is repeating itself as, with Drew Lock (shoulder) out for at least another game or two, the Broncos have a more question marks on offense than answers. Boots two field goals
McManus converted two of three field goals -- from 49 and 27 yards out -- and made an extra-point during Sunday's 26-21 loss in Pittsburgh. He missed a 58-yard attempt.
Analysis: McManus attempted his first three field-goal tries of the season after signing his megadeal to remain in Denver just prior to the start of the season. No one will begrudge McManus for missing a 58-yarder in a very difficult stadium in which to kick, but how McManus performs with longer kicks bears watching. He's been nearly automatic from inside 50 yards since the start of 2018, converting 47 of his 49 attempts. Despite a huge leg, however, he's just six for 15 from 50 and out.

Sinks two PATs in opener
McManus didn't attempt a field goal in Monday's 16-14 loss to the Titans but made both his PAT attempts.
Analysis: McManus didn't get many opportunities, as the Denver offense often failed to move the ball and got into the end zone both times that it got rolling. With a road date against the stingy Steelers defense on tap in Week 2, McManus' kicking opportunities likely will remain limited.

Rewarded with extension
The Broncos and McManus have agreed to a four-year, $17.2 million extension, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
Analysis: McManus was set to play the season on a one-year deal with the opportunity to enter free agency in the offseason. However, he'll now be in Denver long term while being paid at least $9.5 million in fully guaranteed money. The contract rewards McManus for his accuracy, as he has made 82 percent of his kicks across six seasons in Denver, including going 29 of 34 in 2019.

Coming back in 2020
The Broncos picked up McManus' $1 million option for 2020, Mike Klis of 9News Denver reports.
Analysis: McManus is coming off another solid year with Denver, as he connected on 29 of 34 field goals (85.3 percent) and 25 of 26 extra points. The 28-year-old kicker hit four of seven kicks from beyond 50 yards, and he's poised to be the Broncos' starter again in 2020.

Scores 112 points in 2019
McManus converted 29 of 34 field goals, with a season high of 53 yards, and 25 of 26 point-after attempts in 2019.
Analysis: A strong argument can be made that 2019 was McManus' finest statistical performance. He ended one field goal off his career high and a fraction of a percentage point off his career best conversion rate. More importantly was from where he was kicking them; his 14 field goals from 40 yards and farther out obliterated his previous season high of 10. He ended 2019 tied for fifth in the league with 29 total field goals, and his 14 field goals from 40 yards and farther also ranked fifth. If the…read more

Accounts for nine points
McManus converted field goals of 34 and 26 yards and all three of his point-after tries during Sunday's 27-17 win over the Lions.
Analysis: McManus snapped a two-game streak in which he kicked just a single field goal. Still, he's seventh in the league with 26 made field goals, and his 11 conversions of at least 40 yards are tied for fifth in the league. The season ends Sunday versus a Raiders team against which McManus converted three of four field-goal attempts in Week 1.

Accounts for entire offense
McManus converted a 32-yard field goal during Sunday's 23-3 loss in Kansas City.
Analysis: Sunday was the second time in Denver's last four games in which McManus accounted for the Broncos' entire scoring output with a single field goal. Despite that modest production, McManus still ranks seventh in the league with 24 field goals. He will end the season in the Mile High air against Detroit and Oakland, owners of, respectively, the league's 26th- and 28th-ranked scoring defenses.

Coverts all five PATs
McManus connected on all five of his point-after attempts and a 36-yard field goal try during Sunday's 38-24 win over Houston.
Analysis: Sunday's five point-afters were McManus' most since Week 7 of 2018, a testament to just how bad Denver's offense has been of late. The team has seemed to turn a corner with rookie Drew Lock, leading to more opportunities for McManus, but the Broncos will be tested Sunday in Kansas City. The Chiefs helped generate the only scoreless game of McManus' career in Week 7.

Nails game-winner
McManus converted both of his point-after attempts and field-goal attempts of 31, 52 and 53 yards during Sunday's 23-20 win over the Chargers.
Analysis: You'd have to go back to Week 1 of 2018 for the last time McManus converted multiple kicks beyond 50 yards. McManus had a streak of seven straight misses from that distance dating back to 2018, but he now has converted three straight. He said after the game that he felt as though he exorcized some bad feelings after missing a key kick in Week 11 against Minnesota. A more confident McManus takes on a Houston team that has surrendered 18 opponent field goals this year, 17th in the league.

Accounts for entire offense
McManus converted a 45-yard field goal during Sunday's 20-3 loss in Buffalo.
Analysis: Thanks to a miserable offensive output, McManus' only attempt of the afternoon was a 45-yard attempt into a stiff wind, which the Temple product converted. Despite attempting just one field goal in three of his last five games, McManus still ranks ninth in the league in field-goal attempts with 23 and is sixth in the league in converted field goals of 40 or more yards with nine. Next up is a matchup against the Chargers, against which he converted field goals of 46 and 40 yards in Week 5.

Misses key kick in loss
McManus converted three of four field-goal attempts and a lone extra-point try in Sunday's 27-23 loss to the Vikings.
Analysis: McManus connected on two kicks from beyond 40 yards and made another 29-yarder, but he pushed a 43-yard attempt wide right late in the fourth quarter. If McManus made that kick, it likely would've afforded the kicker a shot at a potential game-winning field goal on the Broncos' final drive. Instead, down four points, the offense was forced to go for the touchdown, and it was unsuccessful. McManus has nailed every kick under 40 yards this year, but he's misfired on four of 12 tries from beyond.

Flawless versus Browns
McManus converted his only field-goal attempt, from 43 yards, and all three extra-point tries during Sunday's 24-19 win over the Browns.
Analysis: McManus did all he was asked during the Week 9 victory. He's made 15 of 18 field-goal attempts and 12 of 13 extra-point tries on the year. After the Broncos' bye, McManus is slated for a tough Week 10 contest against the Vikings.
