Scores for second straight game
Moore caught six of 12 targets for 75 yards and a touchdown during Sunday's 29-21 loss to the Redskins.
Analysis: Moore led the team in receiving yardage while trailing only Christian McCaffrey in targets. He scored a 13-yard touchdown in the first quarter, giving him three in the last two games after recording just one beforehand. Moore now has at least 70 receiving yards in seven of the last eight games and is averaging 103.4 yards per game over the last five. He'll look to keep it up in a favorable matchup against the Falcons next Sunday.

Practices fully in return to team
Moore (ankle) was a full practice participant Thursday, Alaina Getzenberg of The Charlotte Observer reports.
Analysis: Moore departed Wednesday's session early to attend the birth of his child but was back in action one day later, per Max Henson of the Panthers' official site. Following his return to the fray, Moore will turn his focus to Sunday's matchup with the Redskins, who have allowed 8.9 yards per target and 14 total touchdowns to wide receivers in 11 games this season.

Nursing ankle issue
Moore was limited in Wednesday's practice due to an ankle injury, Jourdan Rodrigue of The Athletic reports.
Analysis: Though the ankle issue was attributed to Moore on the injury report, Joe Person of The Athletic relays that the wideout left the practice session early to tend to a personal matter. With that in mind, it's possible that Moore's ankle injury wouldn't have prevented him from practicing fully had the personal situation not cropped up. In any case, Moore will have two more chances to prove his health in practice before the Panthers return to action Sunday against the Redskins.

Two TDs not enough in loss
Moore caught six of nine targets for 126 yards and two touchdowns while adding an eight-yard rush in Sunday's 34-31 loss to the Saints.
Analysis: Moore turned the tide with a 51-yard touchdown in the first quarter after New Orleans jumped out to a 14-0 lead. He later helped Carolina finally pull even with a two-yard score in the fourth. Unfortunately for the second-year wideout, that effort wasn't enough, as Wil Lutz kicked a 33-yard field goal as time expired to win it for New Orleans. Still, the multi-score performance was much needed for Moore, who had only scored one touchdown all season coming in. He's become the go-to receiving…read more

Team's top target in Week 11 loss
Moore corralled eight of his 15 targets for 95 receiving yards during Sunday's 29-3 loss to the Falcons.
Analysis: The second-year wideout continues to capitalize on a high-volume workload, tallying six-plus receptions and 70-plus receiving yards over five of his past six outings. During that span he's been regarded as the clear WR1 in Carolina's passing attack, averaging 10.5 targets per game and never having fewer than eight passes thrown his way. Moore remains a high-floor option heading into the Panthers' Week 12 matchup against a New Orleans defense that surrendered 313 passing yards and two…read more

Second consecutive 100-yard game
Moore caught nine of 11 targets for 120 yards during Sunday's 24-16 loss to the Packers.
Analysis: Moore led the team in targets, catches and yards as he accounted for nearly half of the team's receiving yardage. The output was a season high for Moore, who finished with his first 100-yard game of the campaign last week. Moore is clearly developing a strong rapport with Kyle Allen and will look to build on his recent dominance next Sunday against the Falcons.

Surpasses 100 receiving yards
Moore hauled in seven of his 10 targets for 101 yards in Week 9 against the Titans.
Analysis: Moore took advantage of being targeted at least 10 times for the first time with Kyle Allen under center by turning in his first 100-yard receiving game of the season. He relied on four catches of more than 10 yards for the majority of his production, narrowly missing out on a touchdown on a 32 yard-reception when he was pushed out of bounds one yard shy of the end zone. While this was an encouraging performance from Moore, the Panthers will continue to rely on their defense and run game --…read more

Held in check by stingy 49ers
Moore corralled five of nine targets for 38 receiving yards during Sunday's 51-13 loss to the 49ers.
Analysis: Unlike fellow Panthers wideout Curtis Samuel, Moore had proven to be a high-floor option through the first seven weeks of the regular season by compiling six-plus catches and more than 70 receiving yards in four of his first six outings to kick off the year. Against a San Francisco defense that entered the contest ranked No. 1 in the NFL with 133.5 passing yards allowed per game, however, the second-year receiver struggled to get much going, as the Panthers were held under 30 points for just…read more

Paces pass catchers in win
Moore hauled in seven of 10 targets for 73 yards and rushed once for 13 yards in the Panthers' 37-26 win over the Buccaneers on Sunday. He exited the game due to a rib injury at one point but eventually returned, Max Henson of the team's official site reports.
Analysis: Moore turned in a rock-solid performance in the London clash, pacing the Panthers in receptions, receiving yards and targets in the process. The second-year wideout encouragingly has logged 18 targets over the last two games, which he's parlayed into 13 receptions and 164 yards. Moore thus heads into the bye week with plenty of momentum and a burgeoning rapport with quarterback Kyle Allen, both of which he'll look to continue cultivating against the 49ers in Week 8.

Hauls in six passes
Moore hauled in six of his eight targets for 91 yards in Week 5 against the Jaguars.
Analysis: Moore took advantage of his most targets with Kyle Allen under center by turning in his highest yardage total of the season. While he wasn't able to find the end zone, his effort was highlighted by a 52-yard pass deep down the left sideline, which he converted by leaping over A.J. Bouye. Most encouraging was Moore's involvement in the offense; he had just seven targets combined between Allen's previous two starts. He'll look to build on the performance in Week 6 as the Panthers take on the…read more

Trio of grabs in win
Moore brought in three of five targets for 44 yards in the Panthers' 16-10 win over the Texans on Sunday.
Analysis: Moore finished with a modest stat line overall, as second-year quarterback Kyle Allen focused heavily on Christian McCaffrey through the air. Moore has seen only seven combined targets over the two games thus far that have featured Allen under center, compared to the 24 looks he logged across the first pair of contests of the season when Cam Newton (foot) was at the controls. The 2018 first-round pick is capable of much more than the four receptions and 96 yards he compiled over Weeks 3 and 4,…read more

Hauls in big TD pass
Moore caught one of two targets for a 52-yard touchdown in Sunday's 38-20 win over the Cardinals.
Analysis: While Curtis Samuel saw a lot more volume with seven targets, Moore was nearly as productive with his lone catch, hauling in his first score of the season. Having Kyle Allen under center instead of a banged-up Cam Newton (foot) did wonders for the Panthers' passing game in general, but it may not bode well for Moore's long-term production (should Newton be forced to sit multiple games) after the second-year receiver saw 24 targets in the team's first two games. There's no timetable for Newton's…read more

Team-high catches, targets in loss
Moore brought in nine of 14 targets for 89 yards in the Panthers' 20-14 loss to the Buccaneers on Thursday.
Analysis: Moore paced the Panthers in receptions and targets during the disappointing defeat, although his 9.9 YPC left much to be desired. The 2018 first-round pick has already been the recipient of 24 targets from Cam Newton across the first pair of contests, parlaying them into a team-leading 16 grabs. Although he's been unable to shake loose downfield thus far, Moore will inevitably hit on some big plays if he continues to see a similar level of volume. He'll look to extend his strong start to the…read more

Fumbles in loss
Moore caught seven of 10 targets for 76 yards during Sunday's 30-27 loss to the Rams. He lost a fumble during the contest.
Analysis: It wasn't the best season debut for the sophomore receiver as he lost a fumble during a catch-and-run during the season's opening drive. Moore recovered to finish the game second in catches, targets, and yards behind Christian McCaffrey. McCaffrey and veteran tight end Greg Olsen figure to have games in which they lead the way in targets, but Moore -- absent many proven commodities at receiver -- should follow close behind and get more opportunities for yards downfield in what may be a more…read more

Gets first target
Moore caught one of his two targets for three yards in Thursday night's 10-3 preseason loss to the Patriots.
Analysis: Moore's reception came on Carolina's first passing play of the game, but he only featured for 17 snaps total. While it wouldn't be surprising if he sits out next week's exhibition finale, perhaps the most pressing storyline surrounding the Panthers' top receiving target is the health of quarterback Cam Newton, who suffered a sprained ankle Thursday. Moore's upside would be maximized by a fully fit Newton, so the latter's status could be worthwhile to monitor ahead of the regular season.

Nabs eight-yard pass
Moore caught one of three targets for an eight-yard gain during Friday's 27-14 preseason loss to the Bills.
Analysis: All three of Moore's targets came during Carolina's first three drives with Kyle Allen at quarterback, making it difficult to evaluate Moore's performance. On one hand, it's good to see Moore involved early. On the other, it doesn't mean much if Cam Newton isn't throwing him the ball. Whether Moore is stepping into a true WR1 role should become a little clearer Thursday against the Patriots, with Newton expected to suit up.

Vying for leading role
Moore is among the leading candidates to be the Panthers' top wide receiver in 2019, Jourdan Rodrigue of The Charlotte Observer reports. "There's really no clear-cut No. 1," Moore said during OTAs. "You have me, Curtis and J-Wright out there right now. ... That 'No. 1' thing is really out the window."
Analysis: It'll be difficult to supplant Christian McCaffrey as Cam Newton's primary read after the running back led all players at his position with 107 catches last season. Also hurting Moore's cause is the Panthers moving on from one specific wideout termed the "No. 1." The decision was precipitated by Devin Funchess' back injury, which plagued the previous leading man from Week 12 onward in 2018. Funchess has moved on to the Colts via free agency, freeing up his 6.3 targets per game from the past two…read more

Ends 2017 with some highlights
Moore caught four of eight targets for 81 yards during Sunday's 33-14 win over the Saints.
Analysis: After a few slow weeks, Moore showed off his big-play potential Sunday, skying over Marshon Lattimore in the second quarter to haul in a 38-yard pass, setting up another Carolina touchdown. Moore started and ended the season slow, but the latter can be attributed, at least in part, to Cam Newton's sore shoulder and the revolving door at quarterback that followed. So long as Newton is healthy in 2019, Moore can build on flashes of rookie brilliance during a potentially profitable follow-up.

Limited to 19 yards in loss
Moore caught two of seven targets for 19 yards during Sunday's 24-10 loss to Atlanta.
Analysis: Sunday was Moore's first game without at least 25 total yards since Week 3. With Cam Newton shut down for the season and Taylor Heinicke and Kyle Allen in at quarterback, the Panthers leaned heavily on do-it-all back Christian McCaffrey. The seven targets show that the Panthers tried to get the ball to their rookie first-round pick, but it's fair to assume that Heinicke and Moore haven't practiced much together this season. They'll have to develop that chemistry and quickly as Week 17's…read more

Coughs it up
Moore caught two of three targets for 12 yards and rushed once for 22 yards before losing a fumble in Monday night's 12-9 loss to the Saints.
Analysis: Moore was kept very quiet as quarterback Cam Newton posted a season low in passing yards. With little happening through the air, Moore couldn't help but turn in his worst receiving performance since Week 9. Even when the rookie ripped off a long run during the third quarter, it took a turn for the worst, as Moore was stripped and lost his third fumble of the year. All in all, it was a forgettable outing, and considering Newton's shoulder complications of late, it'll be interesting to see just…read more

Five catches in Week 14
Moore caught five of eight targets for 67 yards in Sunday's 26-20 loss to Cleveland.
Analysis: Moore was Carolina's third-leading receiver behind Curtis Samuel (80 yards) and Ian Thomas (77 yards), though the team was unable to score a receiving touchdown in this one. Quarterback Cam Newton came into this contest riding an 11-game streak with multiple passing scores, so the rookie wide receiver out of Maryland will have a nice opportunity to build on his season total of two touchdowns when the Panthers host an exploitable Saints secondary in Week 15.

Limited to 44 receiving yards
Moore caught four of eight targets for 44 yards and carried two times for an additional 21 yards during Sunday's 24-17 loss to the Buccaneers.
Analysis: Moore enjoyed a healthy share of the targets, but he failed to connect with Cam Newton on several occasions. His long gain went for just 16 yards, though he was able to bolster his total output with his contributions as a rusher. Moore came in with 248 receiving yards over his previous two contests, so this lackluster effort against a beatable Tampa secondary comes as a bit of a surprise. He'll look to get back on track in Week 14 against the Browns.

Tops 90 yards as No. 1 receiver
Moore caught eight of nine targets for 91 yards and added a 7-yard carry in Sunday's 30-27 loss to the Seahawks.
Analysis: Moore was Carolina's clear-cut No. 1 wide receiver with Devin Funchess (back) unavailable, topping 90 receiving yards for the second consecutive week and third time in the past five. The rookie first-rounder is progressing nicely, just in time to help fantasy owners make a late push. With an exploitable Buccaneers secondary on the docket in Week 13, Moore could make his way into quite a few fantasy lineups at this critical juncture.

Sets career bests in Week 11 loss
Moore brought in seven of eight targets for 157 yards and a touchdown in the Panthers' 20-19 loss to the Lions on Sunday.
Analysis: The rookie set career highs in receptions, targets and receiving yards, while also finding the end zone for the first time since Week 2. Moore's eight-yard touchdown grab with 1:07 remaining brought the Panthers within one, but a subsequent two-point conversion pass attempt to Jarius Wright fell incomplete. Another quiet performance in Week 10 loss
Moore brought in four of five targets for 20 yards and rushed once for five yards in the Panthers' 52-21 loss to the Steelers on Thursday.
Analysis: Moore put together his second consecutive modest performance after generating some buzz in fantasy circles with a five-catch, 90-yard effort versus the Ravens two games ago. The rookie simply couldn't get anything going down the field Thursday, and with one of his receptions going for 11 yards, he averaged a minuscule three yards per grab on his other three. Underwhelms in Week 9 start
Moore brought in one of two targets for 16 yards, added 32 rushing yards on his sole carry and fumbled once in the Panthers' 42-28 win over the Buccaneers on Sunday.
Analysis: Big things were anticipated from Moore in his second straight start in place of Torrey Smith (knee), but he provided only modest production. The rookie surprisingly was targeted just twice, as Cam Newton focused heavily on both Christian McCaffrey and Greg Olsen in the passing game. Moore will look to bounce back with a more productive performance in a Week 10 Thursday night battle against the Steelers, a game that Smith may be hard-pressed to be ready for.

Primed for another start
Moore should maintain a significant role in the Carolina offense with Torrey Smith (knee) ruled out for Sunday's game against Tampa Bay, David Newton of ESPN.com reports.
Analysis: Moore took full advantage of Smith's absence last week against a tough Ravens defense, catching five of six targets for 90 yards and adding 39 yards on two carries as his snap share spiked to a season-high 71 percent. The rookie gets a much softer matchup Sunday, giving him a nice opportunity to continue making a case for a key role in the offense even after Smith returns.
